Health Guarantees

As of March 2010 Due to "Sell Out" ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUNDS. Animals are guaranteed healthy at the time they leave my residence, there are no further guarantees. Most have been checked over by a second party to ensure their health at the time of departure of my residence. What is listed below is void and has only been left here to assist others in making a guarantee page. Please continue to ask permission. Thanks.

General Guarantees One week period

• All descriptions on the for sale pages are the opinion of Creator's Critters. I offer no warranty as to the "quality" of rabbits or cavies sold, for opinions do differ... even among judges! : )
• All descriptions are "to the best of my knowledge."
• I try to be as accurate as I can in my descriptions, and will point out the strong points and faults as I see them, at the time of the sale. I offer good photographs of all for sale animals and will provide more if need be to help you make an informed decision. If you are wondering about a certain trait of any rabbit such as crown, ear carriage, width, depth, bone, HQ ect, or cavy such as width, density, size ect please be specific with your questions and I can help you with making an informed choice to suit your needs for your rabbitry or caviary.
• I will guarantee correct toenail and eye color on both rabbits and cavies unless specified these are incorrect and are being sold as brood or pet quality. I will guarantee this at the time of the sale and for one week past so you have time to check yourself. Broken toenails can come back in white or off color so there is not guarantee past this time.
• I do not guarantee against stray white hairs on solid colored jr's. These stray white hairs do sometimes develop on solid colored rabbits and cavies as they mature.
• I will not guarantee ear length on junior mini rex or ear carriage on junior holland lops. Development of the ear length or carriage over time is unpredictable and is often subject to temperature fluctuation.
• I do not guarantee fertility, success on the show table, or weight on any rabbits or cavies purchased. There are too many variables that can affect these traits.
• You have a period of one week from the time of purchase to apply for a replacement guarantee based on the above listed guarantees only.
• I am open to questions as I realize it is difficult to purchase without "hands on" to determine the quality of the rabbit or cavy, and will do my best to answer your questions as completely and honestly as I can.
• Sorry, there are no cash refunds.
• With regards to the sex of the rabbit, if I have incorrectly sexed a rabbit, I will replace the rabbit with the sex that was originally to be purchased with the same quality/color (unless we can agree on a suitable replacement should that not be available) or you can be put on a wait list.This will involve exchange and the original rabbit will need to be returned. There are no refunds or reimbursements for spay/neuter costs should you decide to keep the rabbit.
• If there are any faults not listed here and you are wanting to know if there are any further guarantees, please ask. For Health Guarantees, please scroll further down the page.
• Exclusions of the "General Guarantee" on the above are as follows:
• Any replacements not requested within the one week period from purchase date.
• Any fault not specifically listed in the guarantee.
• If the purchaser is aware of any faults at the time of the sale and has chosen to take the rabbit/s or cavy/s regardless, the above guarantee would then be void.
• Guarantees on the above are for replacement only of an animal of equal value, breed, color, and sex.
• All expenses to obtain the rabbit or cavy as a replacement are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not covered in the guarantee.
• For the replacement to take place, the forfeited rabbit or cavy must be returned to me at the purchaser's expense within the one week period or an approved period of time. I am sorry but I do not hold replacement rabbits or cavies.
• Should there not be any replacements available then you may be put on a wait list until one becomes available.
• Anything not thought of or listed as exclusions which have not been included in the above guarantees are at the discretion of Creator's Critters when it comes to replacement.

Health Guarantees - One week period

• Health guarantees are for one week from the time the animal/s have left my residence.
• I will replace the rabbit or cavy for equal value, same sex, same breed should it become ill or die within the 1 week period.
• "Equal value" is up to my discretion - I will send photos and once again inform you of strengths and weaknesses to be the best of my knowledge and opinion. It is your final decision as to whether you would like the replacement or will forfeit it. I am willing to allow one refusal, but you would then have to take the next one offered. If you would like one better, then you are welcome to pay the difference if I have something available.
• All illness must please be reported within 12 hours of the onset of the illness.
• All ill rabbits must be seen by a qualified veteranarian within 12 hours of the reported illness and findings reported back to me.
• Any animal that has become deceased under a vet's care, must have a signed letterhead note of confirmation of death.
• For the replacement to take place, the forfeited (live) rabbit or cavy will need to be returned to me at the purchaser's expense within or shortly after the two week period.
• Several photos of deceased rabbit/s is needful for replacement.
• Replacement does not cover shipping or any other costs (ei carriers, health certs, my travel costs ect), this will be the purchaser's responsibility.
• Should there not be any replacements available then you may be put on a wait list until one becomes available.
• I do not reimburse or contribute to any veterinary or necropsy bills.
• I guarantee the rabbits and cavies to be free of malocclusion at the time of the sale.
• With rabbits, sometimes both bucks and does may develop hostility upon sexual maturity. I am not able to guarantee this will or will not happen. No rabbit or cavy that shows aggressive behavior is kept at Creator's Critters, nor are these types of rabbits intentionally sold. I try to ensure the best possible health and temperament of all rabbits and cavies sold. I most commonly hear that my bunnies have very nice temperaments so I do hope I can continue the trend! : )
• I always recommend spaying or neutering if you decide to keep your newly purchased rabbit as a house rabbit or pet. I will replace, free of charge, any agressive rabbit that has been bought for a pet, IF it has been spay or neutered and continues to display aggressive behavior. Cavies do not need to be spay or neutered in my opinion, unless you desire two of the opposite sex to live together as pets. Most cavies do not display any aggressive behavior based on hormones or sexual maturity as rabbits may.
• Rabbits and cavies do not require vaccinations, not even to ship, however to ship outside of Canada they usually require a health certificate.
• Sorry, there are no cash refunds.
• Exclusions from the Health Guarantee on the above are as follows:

• Any illness or death that is not reported within the 1 week period (and within 12 hours of the onset of illness) from the time of purchase.
• Improper diet (please note - no veggies for rabbits before 5 months of age, junior cavies may have vegetables in moderation. Please use food provided until weaned from my food to yours - rabbits)
• Abusive or improper handling, neglect or accidental death.
• Extreme temperature fluctuations.
• Improper or unsafe housing causing sickness or death.
• Unsanitary living conditions.
• Injury from other animals.
• Death or illness due to travel stress.
• I no longer offer a health guarantee for those rabbits or cavies transported by third parties. Only rabbits delivered by me, picked up at my residence (if you reside locally), or flown with the airlines will have a health guarantee. I can not guarantee the healthy arrival of an animals transported by someone else. I am not opposed to sending them with a third party, but there is no health guarantee with these animals.
• Exposure to other sick animals during travel, shows or at your residence.
• Rabbits housed at other's residences prior to delivery.
• Unexplained death without a necropsy. eg) "Fine one day and dead the next." For the purpose of necropsy, deceased animals must be seen by a vet on the day of being deceased or placed in a fridge, or freezer if more than 4 hours, for examination by a qualified vet. Vet offices often have facility to hold them in this type of cooled environment since they euthanize animals as part of their practice.
• I encourage and require quarantine from other rabbits or cavies for a period of 8 weeks.
• Non compliance with the quarantine period of 8 weeks.
• Anything not thought of or listed as exclusions which have not been included in the above guarantees are at the discretion of Creator's Critters when it comes to replacement.
• The above exclusions are at the discretion of Creator's Critters. Should you disagree, a qualified veterinary check, or necropsy on deceased animals may be performed at purchaser's expense. Upon proof of this, a better informed decision can be made concerning replacement.

• I will do my best to assist you in any way I can concerning the health and raising of your rabbits and cavies. I am open to questions and encourage correspondence should you need any help with your new critters for as long as you own them. I have a fair bit of knowledge concerning the health of your rabbit and/or cavy. During the time you own your rabbit or cavy, please call or email me if you have any health concerns before calling the vet in a non emergency situation. Often there is a simple resolve to something that could otherwise cost you many $$ at the vet office!
