I have come to the final decsion to sell out of my cavies too since the rabbits are almost gone. I have enjoyed 20 years of cavy breeding. I believe I am one of the only Blue Roan Texel breeders in North America. (Correct if I am wrong) I have not been able to locate any Blue Roan Texel Breeders on the internet at all.

This sow is the other lovely blue roan I have left. She has good curl and color. Her type is short and blocky. She has a nice bold head and eye with a completely black face. She is a promising sow and would make a nice breeding sow. Could be shown but I have kept her coat short. Would be interesting to see how she does on the show table if she was grown out. I am firm on the prices of my pigs, especially these blue roans!

Nice blue roan boar.He is the only one I have. His curl is very loose (and does look better after a bath you can really see it) but this has not been the case with his babies. They are very curly and have great type. He has a good body and coloring. He has produced some exceptional babies with Ringlet the red texel sow. All were blue roan and black offspring. He is an eager breeder, but also calm gentle boar.

Beautiful young sow. She has very good depth of black coloring. No fading which is a trademark of my black texels. They have always been very intense and have produced intense blacks. She has a wide blocky body. Bold eys, flat wide face. Ears could be a little lower set. Nice young breeding sow. After a bath her curl comes out quite nice but could still use improvement. Very sweet little girl.

Nice little jr sow. This sow is just lovely. She has nice curl coming in, thick deep black coat which is hard to capture in a pic as she looks washed out, but there is nothing washed out about this sow! She has a lovely head and bold eyes. Could use a lower ear set. She appears black on top but she is a genetic roan and my experience with these cavies that have very little roaning can produce perfectly roaned showable offspring. I have seen it time and time again in my stock. She would make a wonderful asset to roan breeding program.

Ringlet has produced some of the nicest offspring I have had. She would be an excellent asset to the blue roan program. Red texels that have the dark ears and foot pads breed like blacks when bred to blue roans. All of her babies when bred to Adam have been beautifully marked blue roans or intense black. She always passes on her wonderful type and curl and I would want to sell her with the blue roans or tan texel project. Typey beautiful breeding sow!

My only tan texel left. She does not have a purebred ped as she was developed from a tan american cavy a few generations back. None the less she is very nice. She has reasonable curl considering her background. She has a nice wide belly band and nice clean clear markings around her nostrils, eyes and jowls. Her top coat is intensely black. I really like this sow. She is calm and gentle and is a rare color.

This sow is a beautiful blue roan sow. Definitely one of my favorites and always produces nice babies. She has nice roaning and a solid black face. She has nice type and good curl considering she is rare. Her curl can be improved upon but the basics are there to make very nice rare show quality blue roans.

I am still waiting on the ped info on Redford. He is very nice. Has a rock solid body with plenty of width. He curl is plentiful. He has a bold head. Just coming to breeding age so not proven yet. He has the desirable red foot pads and ears. He is a nice clean boar. I need to get some more photos of him as he is looking quite promising!
